Presales Consultant Network / Security (m/f/d)
As a Presales Consultant Network (m/f/d), you are the technical interface between sales, customers, and our implementation teams. You analyze customer requirements, develop customized network and security solutions, and inspire clients with your technical expertise, compelling presentations, and professional consulting. Your main focus will be on solutions from Extreme Networks and HPE Aruba, complemented by your know-how in Fortinet and Palo Alto Networks.
Your Tasks
- Provide technical consulting and support to the sales team throughout the entire presales process
- Analyze customer requirements, existing network architectures, and infrastructural frameworks
- Develop network and security solutions based on Extreme Networks, HPE Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, and other vendors
- Create solution concepts, architectural sketches, technical proposals, and tender documents
- Experience with the Iris™ planning tool by Intangi™ is an advantage
- Conduct customer meetings, workshops, product demonstrations, and technical presentations
- Design HLDs, migration strategies, and budget estimates for projects
- Collaborate closely with the sales, project management, and engineering teams
- Support proof-of-concepts (PoC), pilot installations, and technical evaluations
- Observe market and technology trends and share relevant insights with product and sales teams
- Build and maintain strong technical partnerships with vendors
Your Profile
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in the networking field, ideally in presales, consulting, or a technical role
- Solid expertise in at least one of the following vendor ecosystems:
o Extreme Networks
o HPE Aruba
o Fortinet
o Palo Alto Networks - Strong understanding of network architectures and standards (BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VXLAN/EVPN, WLAN, NAC, NGFW)
- Excellent presentation, consulting, and communication skills
- Proven experience in creating technical solution concepts and working with tender and proposal documents
- Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly and understandably
- Vendor certifications such as Extreme ECS/ECP, Aruba ACDP/ACMP, Fortinet NSE, or Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE are a plus
- Fluent in written and spoken German and English
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings
